Youth Empowerment
Services (YES)
What can YES offer?
Support for children and young people aged from 8 – 19 years old. Referrals can be accepted from statutory agencies, schools, community groups and individuals in South East Hampshire & the Isle of Wight to our Youth programmes which can include:-
- Support into a regular activity like football, tennis, martial arts, basketball or maybe an art or drama activity
- Group work in social skills, health and environmental awareness
- One to one mentoring
- Training packages which include volunteer mentoring, diversity, anger management and safe working practices
- Providing tailored packages for agencies such as schools, YOT, police and children’s services
What can be achieved?
Making friends
Increasing confidence and self esteem
Gaining support and guidance through a challenging time
Learning how to manage anger
Improving social and communication skills
Improving relationships
Joining other young people in regular activities
Improving health and personal safety
Developing a talent
Referring to YES
Youth Empowerment Services can be accessed via referrals from: Families, Police, Youth Offending Teams, Education Welfare, Schools, Housing Providers, Youth Service, Health Professionals and Children's Services, as well as any other professional person or organisation working with young people, or a young person can self refer.

What happens next
Once we receive a referral a trained member of our team will make contact to arrange a convenient time to talk in more detail about which programme would be most suitable and what can be achieved by taking part.
