Honorary Treasurer
The Hampton Trust has been in existence as a charity for 12 years is based in Southampton but provides services throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We have a turnover of about £500,000 and, unusually for a small charity, a very good reserves position. Our current Honorary Treasurer wants to stand down in the autumn and we are looking for a replacement. The commitment is about 8 meetings each year in Southampton and monthly contact with the paid finance officer. Our financial systems are sound and based on Sage. We are fully compliant with Charity Commission and Companies House reporting requirements. The Board of Trustees is high level and very active and our Chief Executive has been in post for three years and is highly effective. We have recently been awarded BIG Lottery funding for a national centre of excellence project and have some exciting expansion ideas. We also have some decisions to make about pension schemes.
