Sue Wade (Chair)

Background: Sue has 21 years experience in management of public services, including Deputy Chief Probation Officer and managing innovative youth justice projects in the UK and USA. She is Vice Chair of the Howard League for Penal Reform and the League’s representative at the United Nations Crime Commission. Sue also sits on an Advisory Board for a national children’s charity.

Richard Barritt (Vice Chair):

Background: Richard is Chief Executive of Solent MIND (Southampton and New Forest), which provides services and support to people with mental health problems. Richard has particular expertise in engaging users and stakeholders. He has previously worked for Stonham Housing Association where his work centred on housing and support for vulnerable people. Richard has also spent time as a freelance consultant and was involved in facilitating the launch of the Hampton Trust in 1996.

Her Honour Judge Linda Davies:

Background: Linda is currently a Circuit Judge specialising in cases involving children and Local Authorities. She is the Designated Care Judge for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and responsible for promoting good practice relating to Family Law issues.

Jonathan Black:

Background: Jonathan is currently Area Clerk to the Justices for Hampshire & IOW. Qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and has worked in magistrates courts throughout his
working life. Has a special interest in youth justice and was a member of the Home Secretary's Task Force on Youth Justice (1997-98) and the Youth Justice Board (1998-2003). Also served on the Criminal Justice Consultative Council (2001 -03). Jonathan has also been the author of several books around drink driving offences and Youth Justice.

Hamid Samiy:

Background: Hamid Samiy has been involved in working with Black and Minority Ethnic communities for many years. He has worked for the Local Criminal Justice Board, Southampton Council and now runs his own company, C 5 Consultancy Ltd which was started with a passion to help BME communities through his…

Rodney Hogg:

Background: Rodney is the Chairman and MD of a medium-sized independent business, Spinlock Ltd., which manufactures a range of rope holding equipment and self-inflating safety harnesses for all sizes of performance sailing yachts. Sailing is a favourite hobby since childhood.
Rodney has served as a church warden of his village church for nine years and for other periods as Hon. Secretary and as Chairman of its PCC. He sits on the Board of Trustees and executive committee of The Campaign for the Renewal of Sts Thomas Church, Newport responsible for marketing and communications.

Peter Latham:

Background: Peter’s whole career has been as a solicitor with Glanvilles - He joined the firm in 1970; became a partner in 1971;managing partner in 1984 and senior partner in 1991. He enjoys most aspects of the law but has a particular interest in crime and domestic property. Peter was Leader of Fareham Council from 1986 to 1991 and Deputy Coroner of Portsmouth and S.E. Hampshire from 1991 to 2003.

Her Hon. Frances Hoare:

Background: Frances is an Administrator of an Educational Trust. She has a background in teaching both at the secondary and junior level with extra training to teach children with specific learning difficulties. She is currently employed by the Police Authority and is Chairman of the Bench for NW Hants and sit in both the adult and youth courts.

Angela Sealey:

Background: Angela is a founding Trustee of the Hampton Trust. She is a management development and training consultant. She is Deputy Chair for Stonham Housing Association and a Trustee of Oxfam. She has 20 years board level experience in the NHS, and was formerly a social work lecturer, a practice teacher and a social services manager. She is experienced in management and staff development and corporate governance.
