Youth Inclusion Funding and Projects Evaluation Report
The Youth Inclusion Forum is by definition a meeting for the open discussion about young people and how to promote their inclusion which is of public interest. Much has been commented upon in the media that often portrays young people in a negative light but there is a growing public interest in reframing how young people are portrayed and perceived by themselves and others. The Forum is focussed on celebrating what young people can and do achieve whilst funding creative ways to re engage those who have disengaged.
The Youth Inclusion Forum is about helping young people help themselves, each other and others in their community, connecting them to where they live and the people they live with in their neighbourhoods. The Forum is part of the Children and Young People’s Trust and contributes to the delivery of the Children, Young People and Families Plan as well as the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) and the delivery of the Partnership Plan. The Forum chaired by the High Sheriff is testament to the fact that a partnership of the police, different services across the Isle of Wight Council, the NHS, Fire and Rescue and the voluntary sector meeting together in a room with energy, enthusiasm and resources can make a positive difference to the lives of young people here on the Isle of Wight.
