This is an exciting opportunity to join the Domestic Abuse Services team.

Job Title:                    1 x Engage Caseworker

Hours:                         37.5 hours per week

Contract:                    Until 31st March 2021

Salary:                         £23,000 per annum

Area:                           Crawley, West Sussex

Job Purpose:

To provide direct support to perpetrators of domestic abuse, as part of the multi-skilled team within West Sussex Connect: a new and holistic service, created with survivors of domestic abuse, to offer a coordinated response for the whole family. Delivering an approach, centred in safeguarding and risk management that supports people experiencing domestic abuse who wish to remain in their relationship. You will be part of an exciting partnership between The Hampton Trust, Aurora New Dawn, The You Trust, WSCC and SafeLives who are working together to address inconsistencies in the response to domestic violence and abuse.

Responsible for:

To contribute to achieving the overall aims and objectives of West Sussex Connect. Engaging and working directly with perpetrators of abuse whose partners are being supported by West Sussex Connect you will provide specialist interventions through 1-1 and group work to increase accountability and responsibility, address behaviours and improve outcomes for individuals and the whole family. Ensuring that the safety and risk management of survivors and their children remains central to the process. You will work alongside and support the West Sussex Connect team, helping to increase awareness and safety of survivors and ensuring children are appropriately supported. You will contribute to creating a multi-agency culture of engaging with perpetrators of abuse and a joint approach to managing risk and supporting whole families.
